Sanda Ionescu is an executive coach, trainer and facilitator, passionate about helping corporations and individuals adapt to new or rapidly changing environments, both national and corporate cultures.

Having completed pioneering cultural research in Social and Organisational Anthropology at the Universities of Bucharest, Cambridge and London, Sanda combines in-depth theoretical knowledge of cultural differences with personal experience of completely reinventing her career in a new country… several times over! She has lived and worked in nine countries, including the UK, Japan, Romania, Germany, Switzerland and France, and speaks six languages. With twenty years of work experience in areas as diverse as education, research, publishing, management consultancy and local government, Sanda’s constant passion has been enabling people to move easily between different cultures and harmonise conflicting points of view.

Examples of Recent Projects

• Design and rollout of a unified competency framework for managers within a local authority in the United Kingdom
• Designed and facilitated large group interventions to establish organisational vision and values following an international merger
• Designed a best-practice HRM toolkit and training course for the Council of Europe’s Centre of Expertise to be used by local councils in newly democratic countries
• Advised a multinational consumer products corporation on the global roll-out of its employee surveys and performance management system
• Helped SMEs in the UK negotiate a joint venture with an East European partner
